Yeah, just like that perfectly good word: gay.
Which really sucks because "Gay Nineties" sounded MUCH better than "Men-With-Handlebar-Mustaches Nineties"
No doubt.
I went to school with a girl named Gay. I think she was born at the tail-end of a time where the word was not commonly associated with homosexuality. I once asked her if she cared. She said "nope". My kind of girl.
