Yes, it's appalling, isn't it?
100%. I am not much for "hero worship" so I am not the type that would blindly follow or unconditionally believe a legendary figure like Joe Paterno. I find his behavior here utterly mind-boggling.
I find it disgusting.
They *knew*... they had discussions about it... and did nothing... for years.
I don't really care what Paterno did for that school, or the sport or whatever - he should have his statue razed and his name removed from anything at that school.
