New campaign rule
All speeches other than the winner's must be some form of this:
"I lost! I didn't really "win" in some convoluted way that nobody can logically understand. You're too smart for that. I am a big gigantic loser. I even campaigned for two days in Puerto Rico where the people don't even have the right to vote rather than here. (Ok, that last one just applies to one guy). Farewell. God Bless America."

Dream on! Everything's about the spin. Everything.
I've heard a couple candidates giving speeches to their excited supporters after each primary. It sounded like they just won the superbowl with all the cheering and big talk about momentum, but I later learned they only got 20% of the votes. I guess they are either really optomistic or in denial.

I find it surreal and not a situation you ever see in real life which was the motivation for the post.
