I was reading that Kate Gosselin* will be one of the contestants in the upcoming season of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars".
I find this kind of mind-boggling.
I have never seen this show but it is my understanding that it is similar to American Idol where judges are involved somewhat but in the end people at home vote for their favorites. I could be wrong as again I have never seen this show but I do know that people at home vote and these votes in some way determine who stays and who goes.
That being the case, how could the most unpopular and most loathed lady in America possibly have a chance to win this thing unless all of her kids voted numerous times by speed dial or something? Who is going to vote for Kate Gosselin? That operator fielding her calls/votes is just going to be twiddling his/her thumbs. Right?
She could be Ginger Rogers reincarnated and I gotta believe that she would still have no chance to win this thing. I mean you wouldn't have put Leona Helmsley on a show like this back in the day except for maybe comic relief so why do something like that now?
And what about the poor sap that they team her with? Obviously he has no chance to win this through no fault of his own but further who wants to be subjected to that kind of verbal abuse from someone you are not even married to? Who would do it?

Just for kicks the producers ought to pair her up with her (ex?)-husband, Jon Gosselin.
Shouldn't she be home wrangling all the youngsters? No, that isn't a sexist comment. If Jon is out of the picture, shouldn't she be doing that? Maybe they're visiting daddy. Or perhaps they have their own show now. I don't know.

Actually the thought of teaming her up with Jon is so obvious I am a bit ashamed that I missed it.
Your other point is obviously dead on too. I read that she says she is going to be practicing dancing in her basement I guess at the same time doing the single parent/8 kids thing. Absurd on it's face.
Further she lives in Pennsylvania. I don't think that show tapes anywhere near that area.
I also read (I'm probably too interested) that after kicking the tv crew out of the house because he thought this was not good for the kids, Jon now is negotiating with Kate to resume filming because he is broke.
So many things wrong here.
