
Christina Carrega of the New York Post reports that in spite of being paid $8 million a year from Buick, he really did not help drive up sales for them.
"We weren't too lucky with Tiger Woods," GM Vice Chairman, Bob Lutz said at a JD Power and Associates conference in Orlando, Florida.
"Maybe we didn't have him say the right things at the right time," Lutz said.
Instead of those iconic "larger than life" commercials, maybe GM should have showed a more personal side of Tiger in their ads so he could connect better with people.
