I don't understand whatever joke is being made here?
The CHL Championship (Memorial Cup) is being played in Saginaw, Michigan and we like junior hockey so we attended. The sarcastic joke is that we made a "rigorous" two block walk to the arena and it was so "rigorous" that it felt like an uphill walk both ways. Even though it was completely flat. And if you look at the sidewalk closely, it was raining a bit.
Oh, okay, thanks for clueing me in! I thought the joke had something to do with the players' names on the jerseys but I couldn't figure out the connection.
