I don't much about that city but I do recall they burn things especially around Halloween. I wonder if they will have enough of a fire department to survive. This sure doesn't help their tourism.
Actually, the fires on Halloween Eve stopped a few years ago. No really good reason other than I guess people just got tired of doing it.
I was downtown a little while ago and struck up a conversation with a group of people who had obviously never been there before (looking up at the big buildings etc) and I asked them where they were from and why they were here. They said they came in for a Detroit Tigers game. That is Detroit's tourism.
Seasoned Midwesterner who's interests include baseball, collectibles, Detroit Tigers, heavy music including gothic and symphonic metal, history and offering unsolicited social and political commentary.
