I once sent an email to the New York City Philharmonic Symphony requesting to conduct their orchestra for just one performance. They wouldn't even have to pay me!
They never responded!
I know that it's because they are afraid that I just might set the world record for quality live music and NOT because it is "hard" or that I am unqualified.
We got an "emperor with no clothes" thing going on there!
