My theory is that if he had been content to just win one (or even two) Tours de France, there would have been no sustained suspicions of him. But no, he got greedy. Those SEVEN Tour victories are what did him in. How could they NOT pursue doping allegations?
Now they need to award those seven Tour de France titles to the guys who took second place (who were also doping). They just need to take the gloves off and say anything goes in sports, including tampering with the clock.
I heard a report where you gotta go down like 7 riders (8th place or something) to find a guy who MIGHT be clean if you wanted to try and think about awarding some of the titles to a non-druggie.
