I always had my suspicions. Especially when I had to tap my feet on the floor to let them know how many sandwiches I wanted. Purely serious now (amazing, but true): I didn't know Wendy's owned Arby's.
Years ago, I was eating in a Baja Fresh and was reading their promotional material and saw that they were owned by Wendy's (they no longer are) and thought "Well then, why is this so good?"

They also serve their sandwiches with "horsie" sauce which only adds to the mystery.
