What is this "Elizabeth Taylor's death is the end of an era" stuff?

Hello! There are people out there older than 79, you know!

What about them?!

Respect your elders!

Yeah, but she is basically the closest thing we have to royalty in this country. I planned to post about it today, but I think that goes better with tomorrow's tidbits.

I'm pretty sure Liz Taylor was English but if you want her as royalty you can have her Krissy. We've already got some.

Tony, she was born in London, but her parents were American. So she's ours. :)

Krissy,

Never really thought about it that way.

I have been racking my brain for the last 5 minutes thinkg about who would be America's royalty and can't come up with anything other than the Rockefellers (of which I do not know who would be the present living embodiment) and John Kennedy Jr. had he decided not to fly a plane in heavy fog.

I will look for yours on your blog.

Okay, now you got me thinking of things for tomorrow. :) Grace Kelly would have been, I guess. Hmmm.. Stand back. The brain is working... slowly.

We had the "King" (Elvis), we had the "Duke" (John Wayne), we had the "Queen" (Liberace), we still have a "Prince" (the artist formerly known as) and a "Princess" (Ryan Seacrist).
Guess that covers it.
