Always do rock!
Paper can only momentarily cover rock.
Any upward force by rock dislodges paper; and results are then "null and void".
Remember there is no time limit on the game! People forget this.
Smashing scissors/fingers is fun too.

Finding playing partners is getting increasingly difficult but so what!
