Mullets are not really "Western" you know. Nowadays, they are really "Southern" (I have relatives in Florida so I know) and also "Northern backwoods" (do not take a wrong turn around here, trust me). There are no mullets west of the Mississippi that I am aware of! Get your facts straight!
If you weren't so busy in the early 80's whipping your country into a religious frenzy and doing the "taking hostages" thing, your people might have participated in that fad when it was stylish and be over it by now.
