It would make more sense if they loved them. The couple wouldn't have to give them candy.

You know, Alex is learning about adverbs and pronouns etc and what word modifies what other word in a sentence and things like that.
He came to me for assistance and I looked at it and felt pretty inadequate. I had to tell him that I usually just "wing it" when I am writing but obviously as you see this approach is quite imperfect.
That house did get abused though.
